There is somewhat of a dilemma. Phillip and I have been given a guidance book on cycling the Pacific Coast. The preface of the book explains why cyclists should ride from North to South and NOT South to North (which we have been planning to do). The author has ridden both ways and strongly concludes that the headwinds which blow from the north suck the fun right out of the entire trip. He says riding against 50mph headwinds becomes a consistent chore. The wind is so strong that it pushes cyclists to a stop as they ride downhill... uuuhggg... (this is the third time we have heard this news) The rest of the book talks about how exciting and enjoyable it is to ride the Pacific Coast from North to South... riding with the wind, instead of against it...
This is something we must think about...
